During your camper’s stay at Lakewood they will get to walk through the Gospel of Mark hearing the scriptures and stories so that they may grow in understanding God’s love for us through Jesus Christ! Camp Adventure’s Impact Camps provide a classic camp experience for kids entering 6th – 8th grade; featuring action-packed adventures including: swimming, blobbing, paintball, low ropes, and high ropes. Most importantly, there is a deep focus on Christ through an amazing spiritual program including small groups, modern worship and opportunities to ask the tough questions about God.
Clear Gospel Message
At Camp Adventure, we teach and explore the gospel with students through worship, stories, small group discussions, and feature activities. Each week has a different speaker and spiritual director to lead the students to a real and intimate relationship with our Savior.
Camp Worship
Praise can be expressed in many different ways, therefore, we like to help campers become inspired by the Holy Spirit’s movement during different worship times throughout the week. Each week brings a new worship team to lead students to give their all to our Creator. Lookout Lodge, which also doubles as the dining room, turns into a sacred worship space with high-tech lighting and dynamically led music.
Campers also have the opportunity to worship through exploring nature on our vast acreage, meeting in small groups, navigating through the Bible, and encouraging one another through activities like the low and high ropes courses.

*This event will run in coordination with a 3rd-6th Express Camp. In order to provide the best experience possible for each age group, two directing teams will be on site, with one focused on K-2nd and another focused on 3rd-6th. Activities/worship/teaching will be separated by age groups. Cabins will also be divided by age group to provide best possible camper care.*
Camp Lakewood’s Express Camp provides a classic camp experience on a shortened timeline. This exciting week provides exciting features including a zip line, lake swimming, and more for campers! Throughout the week campers entering Kindergarten-2nd grade will get teaching, devotional time, worship time, and more at a developmentally appropriate level for their ages. Through these experiences and time in Cabin Groups, campers will make new friends, strengthen old bonds, and grow in interpersonal skills. Most importantly, an emphasis on spiritual development through hearing about God’s love, devotional time in their cabin, and evening worship gives each camper a fresh look into what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

Clear Gospel Message
Here at Camp Lakewood, we teach and explore God’s love in every moment. In 2022 we will be Journeying with Mark! During your camper’s stay at Lakewood they will get to walk through the Gospel of Mark hearing the scriptures and stories so that they may grow in understanding God’s love for us through Jesus Christ! Campers will explore these ideas and more through rich teaching from strong spiritual leaders, in small group devotional times with their cabins, in small group times with staff members and at evening worship at Vesper Hill. Our prayer is that each camper who leaves Lakewood will be transformed by the grace of God, on mission to fulfill our call to live a life of love full of the fruits of the spirit.

Event Details
That Thing at Epworth Forest is a summer conference camp for high school students to come together in pursuit of Christ being lived out in their communities. There’s a ton of fun here but more importantly, this camp is about sending students out to put love and action into the root of their daily lives back at home.
Hundreds of students will be on site each week from ninth grade through graduating seniors. Students get some supervised free time to explore recreation areas in groups, choose from different Creative Labs, grab snack at the Beach House, and relax in their lodge common rooms.
Camp Worship
At the core of That Thing is a passion for creating expressive and interactive worship spaces that draw on multiple learning styles to help students engage with the gospel and finding their own rhythm and connection with God. Bands and speakers spend time connecting with students throughout the day as well as on stage. Counselors and leaders help students through small group discussions in meeting new friends and unpacking the experiences of the week.

What is Middle School Camp?
Glad you asked! Middle school camp is a week-long, overnight camp designed for kids entering 6th – 8th grade. Experienced, long-term directors lead the charge during this week and offer a well rounded and fun week of camp. Middle School Camp allows for young teens and preteens to gather and learn about how they play a part in the body of Christ while getting to have some fun along the way.
Clear Gospel Message
As your child goes through the camp week they develop skills and knowledge that enable them to grow deeper in their faith and to start making commitments to Christ. Through experience and worship, campers find and build their relationship with God. This year’s theme is over “Treasure” and how we find such examples in scripture. Most importantly we learn how God treasure’s us and the world we live in.
Experience
Middle School Camp offers a multitude of fun activities for campers to engage in each day. Many of our campers comment that the beauty of Pine Creek is in nature and rightly so, we have over 300 acres for cabin groups to explore! Campers will be challenged physically and spiritually to grow into the person they are called to be. Each camper is placed in a cabin that they worship and fellowship with, while also being provided time to interact with everyone in the camp. This week also has a few middle-school only activities such as the Zipline, and Redneck Paintball! Campers are sure to have a memorable experience learning and growing in their relationship with God.
Amenities
Goliath Swing | Jacob’s Ladder | Zipline | Pool Time | Cabin Time | Crafts | Campfire Worship | Cookouts | Redneck Paintball | Late Night Games | Knife Throwing | Prayer Stations etc.

Volunteer Director Team
Directors Susan Barrett, Brent Schnepp, Kortnee Singer, and Steph Pea bring many years of camp experience and energy to sharing the gospel with countless kids!
