Day Camp brings children into the incredible world of Christian camping. Staff and campers get to know one another in a small group context as worship and play weave together throughout the day. Returning home each evening helps parents invest in the experience as campers share about the Bible stories and activities. Each day is one to look forward to with Bible study, worship, ziplines, crafts, nature activities, and energetic games!

At Camp Lakewood, a part of Impact 2818, we have a mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We will present an opportunity for individuals to make a decision to become a disciple or Jesus Christ at each of our events. In addition, there will be teaching, modeling and experiences that focuses on students understanding God’s love for them, engages them in discovering Christ’s promises, and offers opportunities to explore examples of Christian character.
Building community through relationship & social skills development|Explore and grow in independent activity|New friendships|Affinity for nature|Teamwork and connectedness
Our leadership team is a partnership of camp staff and local churches who work together to design and carry out a day camp experience for 5 days for our campers.

What is Family Camp? Family camp is unlike any camp you've ever experienced. Instead of sending the kids away for a week why doesn't the whole family join in
Family camp is unlike any camp you’ve ever experienced. Instead of sending the kids away for a week why doesn’t the whole family join in on the fun? Taking up only a weekend this camp is full of activities for any age and helps to develop family bonding through strengthening the family’s relationship to God. Worship and devotions are a critical part of the week that include sessions specifically for adults and kids.
We believe that the family is stronger when everyone has a strong relationship with the Lord and so we hope to strengthen and develop that relationship, and in turn, the families who visit us. Each day has a whole camp worship experience and each family is given devotional materials to complete together. The goal is that each person is able to have a little fun while also growing closer to God.
Located in rural Indiana away from the hustle and bustle of busy life, the Family Camp experience will engage the whole family in finding awe and wonder in God’s creation. With over 300+ acres of wooded forest to explore, experiencing creation is one of the main joys of our families who visit. Nature coupled with a fun family, teen-only, and adult-only times allows for the whole family to grow closer together while also growing closer to God.

With COVID impacting everything this season, Pine Creek will be taking a special interest in protecting our campers. Check-in and Check-out will be a low contact, drive-thru style. Disinfecting program materials and shared spaces will be standard practice. Family camp will refocus on the family unit without losing any of the connection or fun!

Camp Lakewood’s Mini Camp provides a classic camp experience, perfectly fit for the youngest students. Adventures including: boat rides, zip lines, and a bouldering wall give excitement to each day. Most importantly, an emphasis on spiritual development through hearing about God’s love, devotional time in their cabin, and evening worship gives each young camper a fresh look into what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

Here at Camp Lakewood, we teach and explore God’s love in every moment. In 2021 we are continuing to emphasize the power and love of Jesus Christ above all else. As each week dives into the theme, “Treasure,” campers will have the chance to learn about the Kingdom of God and the treasures within it. Ultimately, our hope is that campers see the Bible as one unified story telling about the greatest Treasure of all, Jesus Christ. Exploring Creation, Hope, Jesus, Jesus’ Sacrifice for us, and our response to that we believe that campers will not only have a good time at camp but have their lives transformed forever. Campers will explore these ideas and more through rich teaching from strong spiritual leaders, in small group devotional times with their cabins, in small group times with staff members and at evening worship at Vesper Hill. Our prayer is that each camper who leaves Lakewood will be transformed by the grace of God, on mission to fulfill our call to live a life of love full of the fruits of the spirit.
Our June 6-8 director team is hosted by Covenant UMC and Lifehouse Church with Marlene Fenstermacher, Amy Becker, Anita Eggleston, Angie McClurg and Pastor Ted Jansen. These four bring a powerful dynamic of love and instruction perfectly fit for even the youngest of campers!

Epworth Forest’s Middle School Impact Camps for 2021 provide a classic camp experience, featuring action-packed adventures including: swimming, paintball, “Sky High” our giant swing, kayaking, “The Park” and more. Most importantly, there is a deep focus on Christ through an amazing spiritual program including small groups, modern worship and opportunities to ask the tough questions about God.
At camp this summer, as always, we teach and explore the gospel with students through worship, stories, small group discussions, and feature activities. Each week has a different speaker and spiritual director to lead the students to a real and intimate relationship with our Savior.
Praise can be expressed in many different ways, therefore, we like to help campers become inspired by the Holy Spirit’s movement during different worship times throughout the week. Each week brings a new worship team to lead students to give their all to our Creator. Operating camp during this usual season is giving us an exciting opportunity to have new worship experiences in settings like our outdoor stage. Don’t worry, the bands will still be here and our sound system will make sure our worship will be heard all over camp.
Campers also have the opportunity to worship in quiet nature spaces along the waterfront or under the trees, meeting in small groups, navigating through the Bible, and encouraging one another through activities.
