Event Details
As Camp Lakewood continues to look into the future, the importance of family continues to be recognized as a key factor for disciple making of all ages. Therefore, we are brining back Father Child Camp! This is an incredible opportunity for fathers to connect with their children ages 0 – entering 8th grade. In addition to the abundance of fun, RC Muhlbaier will be leading devotions for dads only. Corporately, groups will worship together after meals and at Vesper Hill, while also having times in cabins and throughout the day to grow spiritually together. Dads, uncles, and grandpas will have the chance to intimately connect through exciting experiences in nature that will surely build bonds to last a lifetime.
Experience
Family Friendly Schedule | Cabin Sleeping | Swimming | Zip Lines | Mammoth Swing | Rock Wall | Bouldering Wall | Tubing | Kayaking | Archery | Parent Only Session | Family Devotions | Campfire Worship at Vesper Hill | Memory Making Activities
Clear Gospel Message
Here at Camp Lakewood, we teach and explore God’s love in every moment. In 2022 we will be Journeying with Mark! During your camper’s stay at Lakewood they will get to walk through the Gospel of Mark hearing the scriptures and stories so that they may grow in understanding God’s love for us through Jesus Christ! Campers will explore these ideas and more through rich teaching from strong spiritual leaders, in small group devotional times with their cabins, in small group times with staff members and at evening worship at Vesper Hill. Our prayer is that each camper who leaves Lakewood will be transformed by the grace of God, on mission to fulfill our call to live a life of love full of the fruits of the spirit.
Outcomes
New memories focused on togetherness | Strengthened relationships with each other and with God | Shared experiences that give new perspectives on how to be a disciple of Jesus
