Frequently Asked Questions

What happened to the old pricing?

The older pricing structure which included the purchase of all lodging/program for every bed in the group’s chosen lodge is beginning to be retired. The full rate of a lodge had been set by taking the per person rate which would fill 70% of the lodge. This created an incentive for groups bringing 80%, 90%, or even 100% of the capacity, by spreading savings over your student base once the minimum threshold had been crossed.

This approach worked very well at times but, it also created hurdles for too many groups. This new method will:

  • Minimize the financial minimum-commitment on your church and ministry budget
  • Allows for more flexibility in your student attendance from year to year
  • Maintains the average price most churches have been paying per student in the past
  • Improves planning by creating a crystal clear understanding of the price each student ticket costs

If the old pricing method has been working well for you and if you would like to use it in 2020 and beyond, that is still an option. Legacy pricing is available for lodge purchases to your church as long as you used it during the previous summer.

What happened to the Off-Site Tickets?

Off-Site tickets are the same as On-Site tickets, simply don’t purchase lodging when you buy your Program Tickets.

What if I buy in at Tier 1 Super Early Bird in November and then want to add 3 tickets in March?

Your 3 additional March tickets would be purchased using the Tier 4 Early Bird rate.

Why do the links to lodges show a higher minimum?

When you follow the links to the lodges above, those show the epworth facilities, rates, and minimums as used by retreats. For That Thing, we are making special exceptions to those minimums to provide greater access to churches by reducing those minimums.
